So, what’s the REAL story about drugs and alcohol and why are adults so freaked out about you trying it?

People do drugs and drink, because, to start, it makes them feel good… erases feelings… gives them confidence, but that’s just the beginning. DRUGS (including alcohol) change the chemicals that we have naturally in our brains. And when you start changing your brain, by adding to, or subtracting from its natural chemicals, that’s where the problems start.

Drug and alcohol consumption can lead to some serious problems, with your relationship with your family, your friends, and your school and turn you into someone you don’t even know! And everyone else will see it before you do!

Right now, you need to STAY YOU, BE REAL and enjoy this awesome stage of your life. Live and learn and have fun. And, if you do find yourself in trouble, talk to someone. Don’t hide it. You’ll be an adult before you know it and you can’t be a teen again.
